Ranking the Buffalo Bills' potential draft picks at wide receiver
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

It's all but certain the Buffalo Bills will take a receiver in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. In terms of who that receiver will be, these are the five most likely options, in my opinion.

5. Ladd McConkey, Georgia

McConkey was one of the best receivers in Mobile at the Senior Bowl. While his numbers at Georgia weren't gawdy, he is a very good route-runner, and he would be a fine selection should Buffalo stay put at No. 28.

4. Xavier Worthy, Texas

If the Bills added Worthy, they would have some of the best speed in the NFL on the perimeter, which would open up things underneath for the likes of Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid. He's more than just a one-trick pony, though. He can make all the tough catches and can create separation at the top of his routes. The speed of Worthy is the large talking-point, but he is much more than that.

3. A.D. Mitchell, Texas

Worthy's Texas teammate is tremendous in his own right. He was one of the best big-play threats in college football last season, averaging over 15 yards per catch. He also had 11 touchdowns through the air on 55 receptions. If he is there at 28, don't be surprised if the Bills call his name.

2. Brian Thomas Jr, LSU

Buffalo would have to make a small move up in the draft if they want Thomas. If he is sitting at No. 20, I could see Brandon Beane calling the Pittsburgh Steelers and orchestrating a trade to land the tremendous LSU receiver.

1. Rome Odunze, Washington

I've said it for the last week or so- I think the Bills are going to make a massive leap in the NFL Draft. Whether that's up to No. 8 in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons or No. 9 with the Chicago Bears, they need to do whatever they can to pair Odunze with Josh Allen, and I expect them to do just that.
